Bus Transfers

There is a direct transfer from Geneva Airport to Chamonix bus station. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours, depending on the bus.

  • Le Mont Blanc Express (SNCF line) connects all villages from St Gervais-les-Bains-le-Fayet to Martigny (Switzerland), passing through Servoz, Les Houches, Chamonix, Argentière, and Vallorcine.
  • Léman Express is a cross-border railway network between France and Switzerland. It serves St Gervais le Fayet station, which connects directly to the Mont Blanc Express.

TER and TGV train connections are available from St Gervais-les-Bains-le-Fayet station, located 20 km from Chamonix.

Chamonix is accessible via several airports:

Parking

There are 4,000 parking spaces available in the valley, including:

  • 3 covered parking lots: Entrêves, Saint Michel, and Mont-Blanc Parking.
  • Short-term parking (under 1 hour) is free. Weekly subscriptions are available.
  • 7 enclosed parking areas: Route, SNCF station, Crépon, Lionel Terray, Médiathèque, Tennis, and Allobroges Parking.
  • Park & Ride - Grépon Parking: Located at the entrance of Chamonix. Park your car and take the free shuttle bus ("Le Mulet") to the city center.

Public Transport Bus Lines and Frequency:

  • Line 1: Connects Chamonix Sud with Les Houches, with a frequency of every 30 minutes between 06:30 and 20:00.
  • Line 2: Connects Chamonix Centre with Les Praz/Flégère, every 20 minutes between 07:00 and 19:00.
  • Line 3: Connects Chamonix Sud with Le Tour, with a frequency of every 30 minutes between 07:00 and 20:00.
  • Chamo'nuit Night Bus: Runs daily from 21:00 to 01:00, with six trips per line.
  • Le Mulet Shuttle: Electric shuttle that crosses Chamonix’s city center, every 30 minutes between 08:00 and 19:00.
